I recently obtained some old photographs of my family, years ago. The pictures I am showing were all taken circa 1920, with one exception.
Here we go with pictures of my family.
This first picture is of my Grandfather Ingles, born in 1861 and died in 1927. It is my understanding that he was a rather formidable man. The photograph, taken around 1920, tends to substantiate that.
This is a picture of my father with a woman called Ollie. I had never heard of Ollie before I saw the picture. I would guess that the picture was taken around 1915, when Daddy was about 21. I took a real close look and it seems to me that Daddy had a fair eye when it came to selection. You have to understand something here. Daddy was 26 when he married Mama in 1920. He did have a life before marriage.

This photograph had a date on the back, March 23, 1919. It is my mother and, in back right to left, Mama’s sister, Aunt Marjorie; My Aunt’s husband, Uncle Howard; and my Uncle’s father.
My father in his WW I Army uniform. He referred to his exalted rank as, “Buck ass private.” 1918, age 24.
Those other pictures are old but this last one is quite recent, May 1940. I am sure this will thrill you. My first step at age ten months.
