“Lucky Strike Green has gone to war.”

Prior to World War II, Lucky Strike Cigarettes had a green and gold package. The war effort required the chemicals used to color the packages and they were made unavailable for commercial use. The Lucky Strike packaging was changed to white. Hence, the slogan “Lucky Strike Green has gone to war.
