What I am showing you could well be of no interest to you. It is only a Christmas card. What makes it special, at least to me, is the fact that it was written by my father to his parents in 1918, while he was a “Doughboy” in France, shortly after the Armistice.
I find it interesting that the top of the card reads:
On Active Service, A.E.F.
Somewhere in France
And, in case you didn’t know, A.E.F. means “American Expeditionary Force.”
I can add no more.
