The dreaded time change…If you don’t know what I’m talking about, which isn’t unusual, I’m talking about, “Spring forward, fall back.” If you still don’t know what I’m talking about, then I must assume that you have no timepiece. Sundials excepted.
Anyway, I hate the time changes. Especially the one in November when it gets too dark too early.
So, given my propensity for hate, time change wise, that is, I conducted an extensive poll. Okay, okay, I asked a few people in a bar. To continue, I am showing you my two-question poll and its results.
Here goes:
Question 1:
Does it bother you to get up in the morning and it’s still dark?
Responses:
1. I get up so early that it doesn’t matter.
2. By the time I get to work, I have daylight.
3. I get up so late that it doesn’t matter.
Question 2:
Do you like it when it’s dark as you are leaving work?
Response:
Boo! Hiss!
NOTE: The poll was taken in a bar so that wasn’t the exact verbiage but that’s what it boils down to.
As a result of my extensive and scientific poll, I came to some conclusions:
1. Immediately turn the clocks back to “Daylight Savings Time.”
2. Change what used to be called “Daylight Savings Time” to “Standard Time.”
3. Don’t change the clocks anymore
If this bothers Germany, France, China, or any place else, I don’t really care.
So, there you go. That’s what I think.
