Athlete of the Year

Athlete of the Year by H.D. Ingles | HDIngles.com

I have many accomplishments. Okay, okay, I have one accomplishment. I lived to be eighty.

Given my large number of accomplishments, I reckon I need to focus on the myriad fields in which I failed miserably. At the top of the list. Or is that the bottom of the list? Anyway, however you wish to look at it, it’s athletics.

Another (accomplishment?), which comes close to athletics is manual dexterity. Some people are ambidextrous (or is that amphibious?). On the other hand, I am semi-dexterous. For example, IBM hired me as a technician. I feel that they were obliged to make me a programmer because I was the worst technician they ever hired.

Anyway, back to the top (bottom?). When I was a boy playing baseball, my primary position was left out. Later, I spent a fortune to learn golf. Another bad idea.

Speaking of golf, I was also rotten at bowling.

Speaking of golf and bowling, I had a very slim chance of being great in both. It’s like this. If I could have swapped my golf score with my bowling score, I could have been in the pro circuit in both sports.
