I drive a 21-year-old Ford Crown Victoria V-8. Why drive such an old car? Good question. Let me tell you.
Well, she is big and so am I. She is beautiful, which I am not. She drives like a dream. When necessary, she can get out of her own way right quickly. In other words, I love the old crate.
There is always a downside to everything. Maybe some would consider my gas mileage a negative, but it doesn’t bother me at all. I spend about 45 bucks a month on gasoline. That’s because I don’t even drive 4,000 miles a year. So I ask you, where can I find a new automobile, and I don’t mean a little piece of junk which would lose a head-on collision with a bicycle, that would cost me less than 45 bucks a month?
Oh, did I forget to mention that, in the near future, she will have 47,000 miles on her?
Update, update, update. The “near future” came a couple of days ago. She now has 47,0025 miles on her.
Any bright ideas? And don’t tell me to trade-in my 1997 Ford.
