Flabbergasted

Harrison D. Ingles U.S. Air Force

Harrison D. Ingles U.S. Air Force

I was a bit flabbergasted recently.

Let me tell you why.

Not very long ago, I put a post on Facebook and the number of responses I received sort of knocked me over.

All I did was post 2 pictures. No words and no music, just 2 pictures:

1. A picture of me at age 19, a raw Air Force recruit. At that time, stripe wise, the count was zero. If you want to know why the picture was taken, the answer is quite simple; my mother wanted it.

2. A picture of my discharge. Except for name and such, it looks quite a bit the same as the ones received by God only knows how many millions of veterans.

Don’t think that I don’t appreciate it, it’s just that the response amazed me. The number of likes, comments, and shares made me sit up and take notice.

There were no negative comments. All the comments were extremely nice.

With regard to comments, I tried to respond to all but I failed. I was a bit overwhelmed. If nothing else, I’m right sure that I gave each comment a “Like.”

I have no other words except “Thank You.”
