Not too long ago, it was the first day of spring. The weather was a bit chilly and rainy. That is to say, not exactly my idea of spring. But things like that happen and now things are looking up. And we had a few nice days before that.
Well, on that rainy day, I remembered when I lived in New York, about a million or so years ago. That made me think about a post I wrote not too long ago, which was entitled “Cinderella.” In the post, I included a picture of my wife, Carolyn, and my dog, Cinderella. Carolyn and Cindy were playing in a local park one early spring day when a roving reporter from the Poughkeepsie Journal took their picture, which was entitled “Enjoying Fair Weather.”
I took another look at that “fair weather” picture. My wife was wearing a winter coat, a scarf, and boots.
What this is boiling down to is that I’ll take a couple of chilly and rainy North Carolina spring days and keep my mouth shut.
